Going Strong

Since it has been 4 months since I have given any updates, I thought I better find some time to fill you all in.

Maizy is as happy and sweet as any 14 month old that we have ever known.  She truly is a nice, loving, and curious soul.  We think she is the most beautiful and intelligent child ever, as all parents think about their own kids, and we really enjoy every stage that she goes through.  She has a very large vocabulary for her age, but is not walking without prompting:)
She is starting to look more like her daddy, but has my grandmother's big blue eyes, and blond curls.  So we think she is a perfect little combination of both of us.

Lady L and her family are still very close in our hearts, although we don't see each other as often as we would like.  We have both had really busy schedules, and I think we know that if we had more free time, we would see one another much more.

I am currently 36 weeks pregnant with Maizy's sister.  I have had several complications along the way, but we have made it farther than we ever imagined, and are getting very close to breathing a sigh of relief that we are technically in the "safety zone," although we know that anything can really happen at any time.  My cervix had started to shrink around 24 weeks, and I had a cerclage placed to hold baby up.  This is the same procedure that I had with the twins, which of course did not turn out as planned.  I was feeling very skeptical, anxious, and nervous, but I was watched very closely by our medical team.  I have also had to take an injection every week, which have hurt a lot, but so far has been worth it.  The exciting news is that at 36 weeks (yesterday) they took my cerclage out, and I had my final giant injection:)  WOO HOO!

I will keep you posted after baby girl is born, although I can only imagine that my free time and sanity will be much less  present than they are now:)

Thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers as we approach the finish line of this pregnancy.
